HC Driver Wanted: Master the Reversing, Drive a Mountain Crane! ($36/hr Perm FT)

Got a solid HC license, at least 6 months under your belt, and top-tier backing skills? We’re looking for a confident, positive HC Driver ready to step into a full-time, permanent role with a twist—you’ll get trained on-site to operate a Mountain Crane (no existing crane ticket required!).

If you can reverse a heavy rig like a seasoned pro, know how to strap down cargo tight, and bring a great attitude to work every day, we want to hear from you!

What’s on Offer:

  • Pay Rate: $36.00 / hour

  • Role Status: Full-Time Permanent

  • On-the-Job Upskilling: Full on-site training provided to operate the Mountain Crane—no ticket needed beforehand!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Behind the Wheel: Driving HC vehicles with frequent coupling and uncoupling.

  • Precision Driving: Maneuvering and reversing heavy rigs in tight spaces with absolute confidence.

  • Load Restraint: Using your strapping experience to secure loads safely before moving.

  • Crane Operations: Learning and operating the Mountain Crane on-site once trained up.

What You Need to Bring:

  • Current Heavy Combination (HC) License with a minimum of 6 months hands-on driving experience.

  • Reversing Masterclass: You MUST be super confident with precision backing and maneuvering trailers.

  • Coupling & Uncoupling Experience: Solid hands-on knowledge of hitching and unhitching trailers safely.

  • Strapping & Load Restraint Experience: Know how to properly tie down and secure cargo.

  • Can-Do Attitude: A great work ethic, reliable nature, and eagerness to learn new machinery.

  • White Card & Full Working Rights in Australia.

  • Reliable Transport: Your own vehicle to get to and from work.

Successful applicants will need an updated resume and must pass:

  • Pre-employment medical & physical assessment

  • Drug & Alcohol screening

  • National Police Check

  • Driver History Report / Fit2Drive check
